An inspiring documentary that tells the story of eight amateur cyclists, from all different walks of life and corners of New Zealand, that are united by the one goal of trying to ride the Tour de France. The cyclists took on what many regard as the toughest sporting event in the world to raise money and awareness for the Mental Health Foundation. Their story starts with an intensive training camp in New Zealand under the watchful eye of Coach Roulston, and then it’s straight to France and stage 1 of the tour. One Day Ahead is a testament to the human spirit, to the bond that can be shared by strangers when joined by a common cause and to the mentality of being able to push through boundaries to reach success.
