From the Oscar-nominated screen-writing duo of Agnès Jaoui and Jean-Pierre Bacri comes a tale of superstition and love, made up of a patchwork of characters some of whose features are borrowed from well-loved fairytales.
Laura (Agathe Bonitzer) is still waiting for her Prince Charming at the age of 24. So when Sandro (Haute Cuisine‘s Arthur Dupont) appears at a party, exactly like the prince of her dreams, she thinks she’s found Mr Right. But then when she meets Maxime (French singer-cum-actor Benjamin Biolay), she starts to wonder if some princes could be more charming than others…
Of course Sandro has problems of his own: his father, Pierre (Jean-Pierre Bacri), bumps into Madame Irma when at his father’s funeral and suddenly recalls she once predicted his own death! As his ‘death-date’ approaches, Pierre is unable to make any plans, either with his new partner Eleanore, or with Sandro.
Maxime too has his issues, and so do Eleonore, Marianne, Jacqueline and many others. But who amongst them will live happily ever after?
